About the Uinta County Semiquincentennial Logo
The Uinta County Semiquincentennial Logo was designed to honor America’s 250th anniversary while incorporating symbols that reflect Wyoming’s heritage and Uinta County’s proud history. Each element in the logo was carefully chosen to represent both national pride and local identity.

The Bison
Symbol of Strength and the American West
At the center of the logo stands the American bison, Wyoming’s state mammal and an enduring icon of the Great Plains and the American frontier. The bison represents resilience, freedom, and the untamed spirit of the West, qualities that define Uinta County and its people.
The American Flag
A Nation United
Behind the bison, the stars and stripes of the American flag serve as a tribute to the United States, highlighting 250 years of independence, democracy, and perseverance. The red, white, and blue color scheme reinforces the strong connection between Wyoming and the nation’s founding principles.

The 44th Star
Wyoming’s Place in the Union
While there’s no official way to designate a specific star on the U.S. flag to Wyoming, if the 44 stars of the current flag were arranged in chronological order by statehood, Wyoming’s star would be located in the second-to-last row, farthest from the flagpole. In this logo, the star above the bison’s back symbolizes Wyoming’s entry as the 44th state in 1890, highlighting its place in American history.
“America’s 250”
Commemorating the Semiquincentennial
The text “America’s 250” is prominently placed in bold lettering, marking the significance of this historic milestone. It serves as a reminder of our nation’s journey since 1776 and Uinta County’s role in celebrating this once-in-a-lifetime event.

The Outer Ring
Uinta County’s Place in Wyoming
Encircling the design, the words “Uinta County” and “Wyoming” establish the logo as a distinct mark of local celebration within the broader national event. The year 2026 commemorates the 250th anniversary of America’s founding, while the stars and numerals “1776” pay homage to the birth of the United States.
